Few trees have the stately, imposing structure of a cedar tree. originating from the Himalayas and the Mediterranean cedar (Cedrus) are part of the pine family Pinaceae.

As a rule of thumb cedar trees can be identified by their needles, however on slightly more mature trees there is an easier way. Cedrus atlantica and Cedrus atlantica glauca, the atlas cedars have branches that point up (Ascending) Cedrus libani, cedar of Lebanon has flat branches (tabulate) Finally Cedrus deodara , deodar cedar has branches that droop at the tips (pendulous)

Bellow are some images of the trees and a close up of their needles. Reently Champier-Clarke Ltd planted a semi mature 10 metre specimen Cedrus libani. Why wait? we can plant a mature tree for you to enjoy now. Contact us for advice and a quotation.
